The "Empowering the Modernization of Core Banking Systems through Applications" exchange meeting, hosted by the Cloud Computing and Big Data Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), was held in Beijing on June 6. During the meeting, the industry's first grading and measurement standard for core banking systems, the "Core Banking System Modernization Construction Level Measurement Model," was released. Additionally, the "Application Modernization Promotion Center - Banking Industry Working Group" was officially established.
Sunline, as the core drafting unit of the standard and one of the first member units of the working group, participated in the meeting. Alongside experts from leading financial institutions and renowned financial service providers, Sunline engaged in discussions and explorations on topics such as the technological frontiers, innovative practices, and development trends of core banking systems.
The "Core Banking System Modernization Construction Level Measurement Model" starts from the construction requirements of core systems, addressing seven major dimensions including distributed application construction, distributed data processing, autonomy and controllability, business continuity assurance, cloud construction, technical capability support, and collaborative management. It measures the construction effectiveness of the new generation distributed core systems to enhance bank technology strength, promote business innovation, and achieve the triple core values of multi-dimensional pulse-taking, strengths and weaknesses analysis, and customized enhancement.
In the dynamically advancing field of next-gen core banking systems, Sunline stands as a consistent innovator and industry pioneer. With years of engagement in modernizing core systems for a diverse array of banks – spanning from large state-owned entities to joint-stock, city commercial, rural commercial, and private banks – Sunline has amassed profound hands-on expertise and a robust methodology. Its recent contribution to the formulation of the "Core Banking System Modernization Construction Level Measurement Model" further underscores Sunline's dedication to driving standardization efforts and steering the sector toward enhanced quality in development.
At the meeting, the "Application Modernization Promotion Center - Banking Industry Working Group," led by the CAICT, was officially established. A plaque presentation ceremony was held to welcome new member institutions and experts, with Sunline being among the first batch of members to join this task force.
Looking ahead, Sunline will leverage its extensive experience in banking technology research and implementation to collaborate with the task force on industry research, standard formulation, promotion of innovative technologies, and facilitation of sector-wide exchanges. The objective is to advance the deep integration of cutting-edge technology with banking scenarios, drive the transformation of banking business systems, foster innovative service models, deepen the path of application modernization, and expedite the emergence of new quality productive forces within the banking sector.
